Gail M. Murray (BA BEd) is a former English teacher and librarian with a focus on drama and literature. She grew up on a small farm in Pickering, Ontario, surrounded by nature where she loved walking in the woods, fields, and gardens like the Romantics. Now, Gail is a free-lance writer who lives in Toronto, and enjoys hosting friends in her perennial garden.

Gail’s writing is a response to her natural and emotional environment. Her poems have been published in Written Tenfold, Blank SpacesWordscapeArborealis, The Banister, and on CommuterLit.com. Like Keats, she seeks to capture the essence of the moment. Her creative non-fiction has appeared in The Globe and MailTrellisHeartbeatsRenaissanceThe Ontario Gardener, NOW MagazineBlank SpacesDevour, Stony Bridges, The Ottawa Review of Books, Historical Novels Review, and Our Canada. Her love of travel seeps into her work. Gail says: “Italy—the warm people, the ambience, incredible architecture, magical mountain lakes and villa gardens. Whenever I travel there it feels like I am coming home.”
